一、情態(tài)動詞shuld與culd的用法
1. shuld的用法
shuld為情態(tài)動詞,表示勸告、建議,意為"應(yīng)該",它和其他情態(tài)動詞一樣,沒有人稱和數(shù)的變化,后接動詞原形,其否定形式為shuldn’t。
? Maybe she shuld say srry t yu. 也許她應(yīng)該跟你說對不起。
2. culd的用法
culd既是can的過去式,表示過去的能力,又可以作情態(tài)動詞表示謹慎、客氣的建議,后接動詞原形,其否定形式為culdn’t。
? Yu culd g ut and buy her sme medicine. 你可以出去給她買些藥。
二、 提建議的表達方式
1. 用Why 來提出建議,表示"何不……?",nt后接動詞原形。"Why "實際上是"Why dn’t "的簡略形式。
? Why nt meet at the schl gate at eight? 何不8點在校門口見面?
? Why dn’t we stay here anther day? 我們?yōu)槭裁床辉谶@兒再待一天呢?
2. 用"Wuld/Culd yu "來提出建議或請求。此句式中的wuld/culd并非是動詞過去式,而是表示說話者的語氣較為委婉。
? Culd yu please tell me hw t get t the pst ffice? 請你告訴我怎么才能到郵局好嗎?
? Wuld yu please g hiking with me? 和我一起去遠足好嗎?
3. 可以用"Will "表示委婉地提建議或請求。
? Will yu g t Jinan with us? 你和我們一起去濟南好嗎?
4. shall用于第一、第三人稱疑問句,表示征求對方意見。
? Shall we g swimming this afternn? 今天下午我們?nèi)ビ斡竞脝幔?
? Shall I pen the windw and clse the dr? 我把窗戶打開,把門關(guān)上好嗎?
5. 可以用"Let’s..."來提出建議或征求對方意見。
? Let’s make it a little earlier, OK? 我們把時間定早一點好嗎?
6. 用"What abut/Hw "來提出建議,abut是介詞,后面要接名詞或動名詞。
? What abut writing back t him abut it? 要不要就這事給他回一封信?
7. 用"Wuld yu "來提出建議,意思是"你想要……嗎?",wuld yu like后可接名詞或動詞不定式。
? Wuld yu like a cup f tea? 你想要杯茶嗎?
8. 回答建議的表達方式
(1)同意對方的建議時,一般用:
Gd idea. / That’s a gd idea.
OK. / All right. / Yes, please. / Yes, I’d lve t.
N prblem. / I agree with yu.
Sure. / Of curse. / Certainly.
Yes, I think s.
(2)對對方的建議表示拒絕時,一般用:
I dn’t think s. / Srry, I can’t. / Srry, but...
I’d lve / like t, but... / I’m afraid...

三、until,s that,althugh的用法
1. until的用法
(1)作介詞,表示"直到……為止"。
? The meeting may last until Friday. 會議可能要延續(xù)到星期五。
? Mark will be wrking until 5 ’clck. 馬克將一直工作到五點鐘。
【注意】
由上面兩個例句可知:until用于肯定句中表示動作一直持續(xù)到until短語所表示的時間為止,即表示動作的終點,意為"直到……為止"。在這種用法中,句子的謂語動詞必須是延續(xù)性動詞,如:live,wait,last,lve,like,stay,wrk等。

(1)althugh較正式,引導的從句放在主句的前后均可。

(2)althugh不能與but連用,但可與yet,still連用。
