二、althugh, s that及until引導(dǎo)的狀語從句
可以放在主句前面,也可以放在主句后面
一般放在主句后,且不用逗號隔開。
常放在主句之后,也可以放在主句之前

althugh引導(dǎo)的讓步狀語從句
althugh意為“盡管;然而”,引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句,相當(dāng)于thugh。

【易錯警示】althugh或thugh不能與but用在同一個句子中,但可以與yet, still同時使用。
s that引導(dǎo)的目的狀語從句
s that意為“為了,以便”,引導(dǎo)目的狀語從句,相當(dāng)于in rder that,從句中多含有can, culd, may, might等情態(tài)動詞。

【拓展延伸】s that還可引導(dǎo)結(jié)果狀語從句,意為“因此;所以”,此時從句中通常不含情態(tài)動詞。
s…that…用來引導(dǎo)結(jié)果狀語從句,s后面加形容詞或副詞,其意為“如此……以至于……”。如:1) This bk is s interesting that everyne wants t read it. 2) He ran s fast that I culdn't catch up with him. 當(dāng)從句是肯定句,可轉(zhuǎn)換為 t d...句型。e.g. He is s strng that he can carry the big bx. = He is strng enugh t carry the big bx. 當(dāng)從句是否定句,可轉(zhuǎn)換為 t... t d...句型 。e.g. She is s yung that she can't g t schl.= She is s yung that she can't g t schl.
until引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句
until作連詞,意為“直到”,引導(dǎo)時間狀語從句。
I'll stay here until yu cme back.
主句是肯定句時,其謂語用延續(xù)性動詞,強(qiáng)調(diào)主句的動作或狀態(tài)一直持續(xù)到從句的動作發(fā)生時為止,譯成“直到……為止”。
We can't get ff the bus until it stps.We didn't start ur discussin until he arrived.
主句是否定句時,其謂語用非延續(xù)性動詞,強(qiáng)調(diào)主句的動作在從句的動作發(fā)生之后才開始,一般譯成“直到……才……”。
A. until用來引導(dǎo)時間狀語從句,應(yīng)遵循 “主將從現(xiàn)”原則, 即主句如用一般將來時, 從句一般用一般現(xiàn)在時。同步推之,如果主句用過去將來時, 從句一般用一般過去時。B. until除了用作連詞, 還可用作介詞,后面接名詞, 代詞或動名詞。 We did nt ntice this matter until yesterday. C. till與until為同義詞, 都可表示 “直到…為止”, 但如果要表示 “直到…才”, 一般用nt ... until結(jié)構(gòu), 且till引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句通常只能放在主句之后。
