Intrduce the target language:
過去進行時:表示在過去某一時刻或某一段時間內(nèi)正在進行或發(fā)生的動作。
主語+was/were +ding.

我7點給你打電話了, 但是你沒接。
pick up(=pick up the phne) 接電話
pick up還有以下含義:
1) 撿起; 拾起
e.g. He picked up his hat and went away.
他撿起帽子后離開了。
2) 開車去接
e.g. I will g t the airprt and pick up my uncle.
我要去機場接我叔叔。
4. When yu called, I was taking a shwer.
當你打電話的時候, 我正在洗沐浴。
該句包含由when引導的時間狀語從句, when意為“當……的時候”, 后面通
常接時間點, 從句中的謂語動詞用短暫性動詞。
e.g. When I arrived at hme, she was writing a letter.
當我到家的時候, 她正在寫信。
5. S while yu were sleeping, I called Jenny and she helped me.
所以當你睡覺時, 我給詹妮打了電話, 她幫助了我。
while是連詞, 意為“當……的時候”, 后面只能接一段時間, 不能接時間點,
while引導的從句中的動詞要用延續(xù)性動詞。另外, while引導的從句的動作或
狀態(tài)往往與主句的動作同時發(fā)生。
