設(shè)計說明
本課時學(xué)習(xí)關(guān)于小鎮(zhèn)怪聲的相關(guān)閱讀。教學(xué)時從兩幅圖入手,讓學(xué)生推測發(fā)生了什么事,從而導(dǎo)入新課。然后通過完成不同的閱讀任務(wù),引導(dǎo)學(xué)生逐步理解課文;教授單元語法時,先讓學(xué)生找出課文中的典句,讓學(xué)生感知、體驗(yàn),然后通過Grammar Focus中的句子進(jìn)一步理解,進(jìn)而歸納總結(jié),再通過練習(xí)加以鞏固。
教學(xué)目標(biāo)
通過本課時的學(xué)習(xí),讓學(xué)生達(dá)成以下目標(biāo):
1. 知識目標(biāo):
(1)單詞:noise, policeman (policemen), wolf, laboratory, coat, sleepy
(2)短語:have no idea, have fun (in) doing sth., look like
(3)句子:①“I think it was too big to be a dog,”she said.
②There must be something visiting the homes in our neighborhood...
③The noise-maker is having too much fun creating fear in the neighborhood.
2. 能力目標(biāo):
(1)學(xué)習(xí)情態(tài)動詞表推測的用法;
(2)閱讀關(guān)于小鎮(zhèn)怪聲的文章,獲取閱讀信息,歸納主題。
3. 情感目標(biāo):
讓學(xué)生根據(jù)已有事實(shí)推測可能性,培養(yǎng)其分析、判斷、推理、發(fā)現(xiàn)等思維品質(zhì)。

情態(tài)動詞表推測
可能性:must > can/could> may/might
1. must表示肯定推測,意為“一定、準(zhǔn)是”。
He must know the answers. 他一定知道答案。
2. can表示肯定推測,意為“可能”。 could 表示某事有可能發(fā)生或可能是事實(shí)。
It can be her schoolbag. 這可能是她的書包。
Can he know the answer? 他能知道答案嗎?
Don’t eat it. It could go bad. 不要吃它,它可能壞了。
3. may, might 表示把握不大的推測,意為“可能,也許”。might不表示過去時態(tài),語氣更委婉,可能性更小。
He may / might not be at home, but I’m not sure.
他可能不在家,不過我也不確定。
注意: 情態(tài)動詞表示推測可以分為以下幾種情況:
★情態(tài)動詞+ do
此結(jié)構(gòu)表示對現(xiàn)在或?qū)砬闆r的推測和判斷。
—Do you know where she is now?
—I think she might travel in Beijing.
★情態(tài)動詞+ be doing
此結(jié)構(gòu)表示對現(xiàn)在或?qū)碚谶M(jìn)行的情況的推測和判斷。
At this moment, my father can’t be working in the office.
★情態(tài)動詞+ have done
此結(jié)構(gòu)表示對過去情況的推測和判斷。
The road is wet. It must have rained last night.
★情態(tài)動詞+ have been doing
此結(jié)構(gòu)表示對過去正在進(jìn)行的情況的推測和判斷。
Your mother must have been looking for you at that moment.
