9·11事件指的是美國東部時(shí)間2001年9月11日上午(北京時(shí)間9月11日晚上)恐怖分子劫持的4架民航客機(jī)撞擊美國紐約世界貿(mào)易中心和華盛頓五角大樓的歷史事件。包括美國紐約地標(biāo)性建筑世界貿(mào)易中心雙塔在內(nèi)的6座建筑被完全摧毀,其它23座高層建筑遭到破壞,美國國防部總部所在地五角大樓也遭到襲擊。

In May 2001, I found a job in New York at the World Trade Center. On September 11, 2001, I arrived at my building at around 8:30 a.m. I was about to go up when I decided to get a co?ee first. I went to my favorite co?ee place even though it was two blocks east from my o?ce. As I was waiting in line with other o?ce workers, I heard a loud sound. Before I could join the others outside to see what was going on, the first plane had already hit my o?ce building. We stared in disbelief at the black smoke rising above the burning building. 概念:過去完成時(shí)表示某一動(dòng)作或狀態(tài)在過去某一時(shí)間或動(dòng)作之前已經(jīng)發(fā)生或完成,也可以指過去的動(dòng)作延續(xù)到過去的某一時(shí)刻,它表示發(fā)生的時(shí)間是“過去的過去”。

謂語構(gòu)成:“助動(dòng)詞 had + 過去分詞”,其中 had 通用于各種人稱。 肯定/否定句:主語+had/hadn’t+過去分詞+…一般疑問句:Had +主語+過去分詞…? (Yes, 主語+had. / No, 主語+hadn’t.)特殊疑問句:疑問詞+had +主語+過去分詞+…?
二、過去完成時(shí)的判斷依據(jù):由時(shí)間狀語來判定:表示動(dòng)作從過去持續(xù)到過去一段時(shí)間。與過去完成時(shí)連用的時(shí)間狀語有: (1) by + 過去的時(shí)間點(diǎn)。I had finished reading the novel by nine o'clock last night.昨天晚上九點(diǎn)前我已經(jīng)讀完這本小說了。
(2) by the end of + 過去的時(shí)間點(diǎn)。We had learned over two thousand English words by the end of last term. 截止到上學(xué)期末,我們已經(jīng)學(xué)了兩千多個(gè)英文單詞了。 (3) before + 過去的時(shí)間點(diǎn)。They had planted six hundred trees before last Wednesday. 上周三以前他們已經(jīng)中了六百棵樹了。
(2) by the end of + 過去的時(shí)間點(diǎn)。如: 截止到上學(xué)期末,我們已經(jīng)學(xué)了兩千多個(gè)英文單詞了。We had learned over two thousand English words by the end oflast term. (3) before + 過去的時(shí)間點(diǎn)。如: 上周三以前他們已經(jīng)中了六百棵樹了。They had planted six hundred trees before last Wednesday.
2. 由“過去的過去”來判定: 過去完成時(shí)表示“過去的過去”,是指過去某一動(dòng)作之前已經(jīng)發(fā)生或完成的動(dòng)作,即動(dòng)作有先后關(guān)系,動(dòng)作在前的用過去完成時(shí),在后的用一般過去時(shí)。這種用法常出現(xiàn)在: 賓語從句中: 當(dāng)賓語從句的主句為一般過去時(shí),且從句的動(dòng)作先于主句的動(dòng)作時(shí),從句要用過去完成時(shí)。在told, said, knew, heard, thought等動(dòng)詞后的賓語從句。She said that she had seen the film before.她說她以前看過這電影。
(2) 狀語從句中: 在時(shí)間、條件、原因、方式等狀語從句中,主、從句的動(dòng)作發(fā)生有先后關(guān)系,動(dòng)作在前的,要用過去完成時(shí),動(dòng)作在后的要用一般過去時(shí)。When I got to the station, the train had already left. 當(dāng)我到達(dá)車站時(shí),火車已經(jīng)離開了。After he had finished his homework, he went to bed. 他完成作業(yè)以后,就上床睡覺了。
