閱讀文章Singapore- A place you will never forget! 完成活動(dòng)2c-3b. 二、質(zhì)疑解惑1. be from, come from:兩者都為“從…來,出自…”;表示“出身于…”,應(yīng)用come from【注意】問別人的出身或敘述自己的出身時(shí),時(shí)態(tài)一定要用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí),如果時(shí)態(tài)為一般過去時(shí),則表示“從…地方來”。2.Population的用法:1)population是個(gè)集合名詞,意思為“人口,人數(shù)”,常用來指人口的總稱。被看作一個(gè)整體時(shí),一般不加-s,在句中作主語時(shí),謂語動(dòng)詞多用單數(shù)形式。如,The population of China is about1,300,000,000.2)如果指一個(gè)整體中有多少人數(shù)是干什么的時(shí)候,謂語動(dòng)詞要用復(fù)數(shù)形式,這時(shí)強(qiáng)調(diào)的是一部分人。如,Half of the population in that country are farmers.3)表示“…的人口”時(shí),既可用“the population of+地名”,也可用“the population in +地點(diǎn)”,作主語中心詞時(shí)謂語動(dòng)詞用單數(shù)形式。如,The population in Shenyang is about 8 million.4)表示某國,某城市有多少人口時(shí),用have/has a population of…結(jié)構(gòu)。如,New Zealand has a population of 3,800,000.5)對(duì)人口數(shù)量提問用what或what large.用large或big表示人口多,用small表示人口少。3. If的用法:if引導(dǎo)的條件狀語從句表示“如果…”。構(gòu)成形式為“主句+一般將來時(shí)態(tài)+if從句+一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)態(tài)”,或“If從句+一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)態(tài),主句+一般將來時(shí)態(tài)”;if還可以引導(dǎo)虛擬語氣,表示假設(shè)的情況或是發(fā)生的可能性不大的情況,從句用過去的某種時(shí)態(tài)。4. seem的用法 “好像、似乎” , 其后加形容詞。
He seems unhappy today.他今天好像不高興。
She seems sad.她似乎很傷心。
1) seem +(to be) +n. They seem (to be) doctors.他們好像是醫(yī)生。
2) seem +(to be) +介詞 It seems like years since I last saw Mr Green. 從上次遇到格林先生, 好像過了許多年。
3) seem to do something. He seems to be happy. 他好像很高興。
My mother seemed to know that.我媽媽好像知道那件事。
4) It seems that + 從句
It seems that he is happy.= He seems (to be) happy.他好像很快樂。
5. hear,hear of與hear from (1)hear為及物動(dòng)詞,意為“聽見,聽到”,后可跟復(fù)合賓語,hear sb do sth表示“聽見某人做了某事” 或hear sb doing sth表示“聽見某人正做某事”。We listened but could hear nothing.我們留心聽,卻什么也沒有聽見。I heard her singing in her room.我聽見她正在房間里唱歌。 (2)hear還可作“聽說”講,后常跟that引導(dǎo)的賓語從句。I heard that he was ill.我聽說他病了I heard that it’s a good film.我聽說那是部好影片。(3)hear of意為“聽說”,后跟人或物作賓語。I’ve never heard of that place.我從未聽說過那個(gè)地方。 Have you ever heard of that story? 你聽說過那個(gè)故事嗎?(4)hear from意為“收到某人的來信”,后跟人作賓語。 How often do you hear from your sister?你多長時(shí)間收到你姐姐的一次信? I heard from him last week.6. find,find out與look for都含有“尋找,找到”的意思,但其含義和用法卻不同。(1)find意為“找到,發(fā)現(xiàn)”,通常指找到或發(fā)現(xiàn)具體的東西,也可指偶然發(fā)現(xiàn)某物或某種情況,強(qiáng)調(diào)的是找的結(jié)果 Will you find me a pen? 你替我找支鋼筆好嗎?
