Chant together. Look at the screen and chant together. Let’s chant! What animals do you like? What animals do you like? Do you like pandas? Yes,I do. Yes,I do. Do you like tigers? Yes,I do. Yes,I do. Do you like elephants? No,I don’t. No,I don’t. 2. Show the pictures of the panda,the elephant,the lion,the tiger,the giraffe and the koala to the students. T:Look at the pictures. Who can say their English names? S1:I can. Panda,elephant,lion,tiger,giraffe,koala. T:Very good. What animals do you like? S1:I like pandas. T:Why do you like pandas? S1:Because they are beautiful and cute. T:What animals does everyone like in your group? Please report it to the class. S1:My friend Liu Mei likes koalas because they are cute. Jim likes tigers because they are beautiful... Step 2 Presentation 1. T:Well done. My favorite animals are pandas because they are very cute. Koalas are not my favorite animals because they are kind of lazy. Look at the picture in 2a. Read the sentences together. Ss:He’s kind of big. He’s very big! T:What does“kind of”mean in Chinese? Can you guess? Ss:稍微,有點兒。 T:Yes.“kind of”means“a little”;“very”means “really”. Can you remember? Please make a sentence with “kind of”. S1:I like giraffes because they are kind of beautiful. S2:I don’t like cats because they are kind of lazy. T:Me too. I don’t like cats. They sleep all day. They are lazy. And I don’t like lions,either. Because they are kind of scary. T:(Show the map of the world to the students)Look at the map. Can you find these places? Write the places and new words down on the blackboard and ask the students to read them. China(中國),Australia(澳大利亞),South Africa (南非). 2. Remember the new words and phrases. 可怕的,嚇人的scary 澳大利亞Australia 南方;南方的south 非洲Africa 南非South Africa 睡覺sleep 有點兒kind of Step 3 Listening 1. T:Listen and write the animals you hear. Draw a line from the animals to the description words and the countries they are from. Go through the description words and places before listening. 2. Check the answers in groups. Answers: 3. Report like this according to the information you take in 2a. e.g. Pandas are kind of interesting. They are from China... 4. Listen again. Complete the conversation with the words in 2a. Then check the answers. Answers:pandas;kind of;China 5. Practice the conversation in 2b in pairs. 6. Look at the animals in the pictures and talk about them with your partner. 3. Describe the animals with really,kind of,very... For example:I like pandas because they’re kind of interesting. I don’t like koalas because they’re really lazy. Step 5 Role-play T:Does your family have a pet?(板書生詞pet) Ss:Yes/No... T:Peter and Jenny are talking about their pets. 1. Read the conversation and answer the questions. (1)Does Peter have a pet? What’s the name? What can he do? Yes,he does. His name is Dingding. He can walk on two legs and dance. (2)Does Jenny’s mother have a pet? What’s the name? What does she do? Yes,she does. Her name is Lazy. She sleeps all day. 2. Learn the knowledge in 2d. ?。?/span>1)“Why don’t you like the cat?”意為“你為什么不喜歡那只貓?”,此句是why引導(dǎo)的特殊疑問句,用來提問原因。“Why don’t you + 動詞原形?”相當于“Why not + 動詞原形?”,它還是一個提建議的句型,意為“為什么不……呢?”。 Why don’t you go(go)with us? =Why not go with us? 你為什么不和我們一起去呢? ?。?/span>2)kind of意為“有點兒”,相當于一個副詞,后面多跟形容詞,與a little同義。 It is kind of/a little(有點兒)strange. 這事有點兒奇怪。 (3)walk on two legs用兩條腿走路 sleep all day 整天睡覺 3. Read after the tape aloud. 4. Role-play the conversation. Step 6 Grammar Focus 1. Read the sentences in the chart together. 2. Translate the sentences into Chinese. 3. Talk about the grammar in groups of four. Sum up the grammar. (1)why開頭的特殊疑問句,用來對原因進行提問,其答語多用because來引導(dǎo),也可用because of短語或動詞不定式to do sth. 。 (2)where開頭的特殊疑問句詢問“來自哪里”,句子結(jié)構(gòu)為“Where+is/are+主語+from?”,答語為“主語+is/are+from+地點名詞.”。 ?。?/span>3)形容詞的用法: 形容詞在句中作表語,置于連系動詞之后。 形容詞在句中作定語,通常置于名詞之前。 Step 7 Practice 1. Fill in the blanks with the words from the box in 3a. Then check the answers. Answers:Where;They’re;like;don’t;Why;because;do;cool 2. Practice the conversation in pairs. 3.
