情態(tài)動詞雖有詞義但是不能獨(dú)立做謂語動詞,只能和動詞原形構(gòu)成謂語,表示說話人的語氣,觀點(diǎn)和態(tài)度,一般沒有人稱和數(shù)的變化。(have t除外)結(jié)構(gòu)為“情態(tài)動詞+動詞原形”。
I can speak fur languages.我會講四種語言。
She can sing and dance . 她會唱歌和跳舞。
They can’t swim. 他們不會游泳。
Can she play the guitar upside dwn?她能倒立彈吉他嗎?

—Culd yu wash the car fr me?能幫我洗下車嗎?— Yes,I can.
向別人發(fā)出邀請;請求;建議;征求別人意見時,還有以下幾種表達(dá)的方式:
Let’s d sth 咱們做某事吧。Shall we d sth ? 我們做某事好嗎?Hw/What abut ding sth ? 做某事怎么樣?Yu’d better(nt)d sth 你最好(不要)做某事Why dn’t yu d sth?/Why nt d sth? 你/你們 為什么不做某事呢? Wuld yu like(nt)t d sth ? 你愿意(不)做某事吧。Wuld/Culd yu please (nt) d sth? 請你(不要)做某事好嗎?
can表示邀請時常用一般疑問句句式,結(jié)構(gòu)為: Can + 主語 + 動詞原形 + 其他?(culd比can更禮貌、更委婉。)
對于用情態(tài)動詞can發(fā)出的邀請,回答時主要有兩種情況:接受:① Sure / Yes, I’d lve (like) t. 當(dāng)然,我愿意。 ② Sure / Of curse. 當(dāng)然。 ……拒絕:① Srry, I’m nt available. 對不起,我沒空。 ② I’m srry. I’m nt free. I have t … 抱歉,我沒空,我不得不…… ③ I’d lve t, but I’m afraid I can’t. I must … 我愿意,但是恐怕不行。我得……

Tip:表示肯定的推測用:must>can>culd>may>might (might 和culd并非may 和can的過去時)表示否定的推測用:can’t>culdn’t>may nt>might’t 而不用mustn’t
must 表示主觀“必須”;have t表示客觀客觀需要,即“不得不” 。
